Snow Day...Sort Of

It's my day off and it's snowing so we're calling it a snow day!  Jeremy had to go to work but is getting out early and the kids and I aren't leaving the house.  In fact we're all still in our pajamas. 

Ben is sick so that makes our "snow day" less fun but we're grateful we get to snuggle.  He has been running a fever and coughing.  There was a confirmed case of croup at daycare so I'm hoping it doesn't get worse.  We've been very fortunate this year with not having to much sickness...hope that continues. 

Ainsley so far seems fine but we'll see.  Usually if one gets it so does the other.  The thing is they are never sick right at the same time.  They stagger it so you get to deal with it twice as long!

We went window shopping at Homemakers on Sunday.  Lot's I'd love to buy if only I could win the lottery!  We had a snack break for some goldfish - these two might be turning orange soon from all the goldfish they eat!  #easysnack #lazymama  Ok, I'll really try to stop now...

We went to dinner at Biaggi's for Valentine's Day.  It was A.MAZ.ING! 

A & B took their friends at daycare books for V-Day

We've started working out again and I had this awesome workout on the elliptical yesterday - that's an HOUR and 3 minutes - WOOT!  

And my tv looked like this the ENTIRE time.  I like to be distracted when I work out - lately I have been watching The Biggest Loser.  It makes the time go by faster for me but for whatever reason the satellite wasn't working so I had to watch the time tick by - but I made it!

And I finally found baskets for the lockers - hurray for organization

Sixteen Months

The twins turned 16 months February 11th!  It is so amazing how fast they really grow.  Everyone says it and it's so true.  The thing is it sort of sneaks up on you - you'll be going along just fine living life and then you look at your kids and wonder when they grew up!

So anyway...Ben and Ainsley are 16 months old!  Here's what they are doing...

Ben - you have really made some strides the last couple weeks.  For whatever reason, you would not bear weight on your legs...until a couple weeks ago when you just decided to do it!  Now you'll stand up with support and play standing at a table or the sofa.  You are SO TALL when you stand up!  I'm not sure when you get your tall, skinny body but it's not from your Mama.

You are working on getting your molars in and you haven't been sleeping the best because of it.  Also for this reason, you usually have your finger in your mouth...but it's pretty cute!

You have been doing great at therapy - both PT and OT - and your therapists are noticing!  They always compliment you on how well you do and what great progress you are making.

You are still such a happy boy and you are quite the flirt.  Mommy and Daddy love you so much!

Ainsley - you are officially walking...when you want to.  You can totally do it and you do if you want but if you are in a hurry you use your knees.  You also get a pretty cheesy grin on your face when you're walking around like you are pretty proud of yourself!

You are talking more and more.  One of your favorite words right now is "shoes."  You probably pick up your shoes or carry them around and say "shoes" twenty times a day.  We all know where that comes from...

Mommy and Daddy love you so much, baby girl!

I'm always taking pictures that I want to share on my blog but I'm horrible at taking the time to actually do a blog post about them.  Here are some recent ones.  If you follow me on Instragram you've already seen many of them. 

Ben didn't want to take a nap in his crib yesterday and I can't say that I minded one bit.  There is nothing better than snuggling on the couch with a sleeping baby!

This girl is such a cheeser!  She was putting the bowl on her face then when I grabbed my phone to take a picture and said her name she gave me a big, cheesy grin.  Love her!

This girl ALWAYS wants he Dad's Diet Mt. Dew.  Can, fountain, she loves it all.  And her Dad's a sucker and gives her sips...are addictions hereditary?
