Bedroom Redo Inspiration

We have lived in our house for four years now and our master bedroom has been the bane of my existence for the entire four years.  Our house was the model and it already had several rooms painted.  We LOVE the paint in the entire downstairs.  But...the master bedroom had three white walls and one burgundy wall with black splatter paint.  It was ridiculous.  I wanted to paint it blue.  So we did.  I liked the color but I thought it was too dark.  Or maybe now, looking back, I like the color.  I didn't like it at the time.  So we painted it a different blue.  And I HATED it.  Last weekend we finally painted it again and I gave up on blue and went with gray.  Our neighbor Staci helped me paint because she is totally pro at painting.  I finally LOVE it!

We went with Elephant Skin but had it lightened 25% because I was worried it would be too dark.  It turned out absolutely perfect!

We did some stripes like this in our master bath.  I LOVE how they turned out!

This is the duvet cover I'm lusting after:

It is from West Elm and I've never bought anything from there before.  It isn't crazy expensive or anything but I have a "thing" about not buying things unless I have a coupon or can get free shipping or something.  I HATE paying for shipping.  So, I wait.  I've signed up for emails and I'm hoping if I'm patient I can get a coupon code.  I'll take anything.  I just CANNOT pay full price AND pay for shipping.  Anywho...

I did a DYI tufted headboard this week.  Yes, of course, I'll be sharing it later.  But for now here is the inspiration:

This was a fun/stressful/rewarding/fight with your husband project.  You know how that goes.  When we were buying the fabric at Hancock the lady that checked us out told us not to kill each other...how did she know?  (Read "how did she know" in Jim Gaffigan's whisper voice).

Here is the dresser I want from Ikea:

And my next project is making curtains.  This is the fabric:

So when the day comes that we get this whole project completed I will post pictures.  But I wouldn't advise holding your breath.  It's going to be awhile.  I am, after all, going to try to sew something - eek!

Here are a few of the inspiration pictures I pinned on Pinterest.

I can't wait until it's done!
